Picnic at Torcross
Friday 29 May. We shall be at Torcross for a short guided walk from the Chapel to the Tank, which will be led by Reg Hannaford, the only “local” born and bred in Torcross who is still living there. We meet at the Tank car park in Torcross at 5.45 pm and walk up to Reg’s house, just past the Chapel. After the walk we shall have a picnic on the beach; this is a bring your own food, drink and something to sit on if, like me, you don’t much are for cold damp shingle! Kate is providing jacket potatoes for us to eat with our picnics and we shall have a ‘damp weather’ contingency plan. Bring your friends - at no charge - and join in. To help Kate cater, and also so that we know who must be contacted if we get such awful weather we have to cancel, please give names and numbers to Kate by Friday 22 May if you are planning to come. Kate’s phone nos are 01548 511441 or 07974 704093.
